Although the extruder you see in the video is capable of extruding certain types of food material... This video is demonstrating it's ability to produce medicinal pharmaceutical products. So you definitely shouldn't eat it.

Hi Deka, the process speed would have been 100 rpm. The formulation was 1 part MCC, 1 part lactose and 1.1 part water. This is a good example of a "standard" formulation for demonstration and training purposes. Hello. Glad you like the video. You can create pellets of many different sizes. This will depend on your materials and the type of extruder you have - the diameter of the pellet is largely determined by the diameter of the extrudate (the size of the holes in the extruder die or screen). Hello Nguyen: It may be a surprise but the extrudate does not require cutting before spheronization. This is a common thought but in practice it is not necessary. Hello Upendrachary. The output depends on the attachments used. You might only need to mix your materials so you will have a resulting mixture. You may need to make extrudates only or you may need to make spheres or pellets, in which case you would probably need to do all 3 processes - granulation, extrusion and spheronization. We manufacture machines that use wet mass powders for the purpose of extrusion and spheronisation into pellets, beads and spheroids etc. If you have a need for this type of research / development and production we can help you.

Thanks for the explanation. Yes, system should be fixed with heater to melt the plastics/polymers raw material. End user wants to make plastics threads of 1.75mm diameter. If you can design such system? Size of machine in the video is perfect for end user. you can share the details on my email mentioned in above comment.
